We have re-scheduled our bird walk for Sunday, October 27th at 9:00AM at Lettuce Lake Park! After a little stroll on the boardwalk looking for birds we’ll have a meeting discussing our current plans and actions while enjoying a little potluck picnic! Please RSVP with the link in our IG bio if you plan on bringing food!
We will meet behind the Joel Jackson nature center by the native plant garden. If you bring food, consider what you bring as we will be walking around for about an hour or so before sitting down to talk and eat. Food that can handle hanging out in the car for a wee bit is recommended!
Entry requires $2 CASH to get in!! Credit cards do not suffice in this case. Please hydrate the day before and bring some water as well. If you’ve got binoculars, bring em! We will be limited to the 2 pairs that our co-chair owns and a spotting scope that he will set up if a really neat bird is sitting still for a while.
If you're able, please bring cash donations to support the church as well supplies for Mutual Aid Disaster Relief (MADR) and other local aid organizations. There's a MADR mutual aid hub at the church if you're able to give any of the following:
Canned goods, clean clothing, shoes, tents, sleeping bags, hygiene/period products, baby wipes, power banks, charging cables, and whatever you have!
